Changes to AS9101 – Prepare for Your Next Audit

AS9101E standard defines requirements for preparation and execution of an aerospace QMS audit. This update, from the previous AS9101D version, has been officially released by the IAQG in March 2014 and brings about considerable changes in how the aerospace audits are to be conducted. Although the standard’s primary application is for external audits provided by certification bodies, it offers an excellent framework for use during internal audits as well. The PEAR form presented in this standard lends itself for use as an excellent tool to assess process performance, both internally and externally.
